Frequently Asked Questions
Jay Scotts company is a US-founded company (est. 2010) focused on producing premium lightweight fiberglass planters that combine long-lasting durability with high-end European design influence. They are a leader in commercial-grade planters, using UV-protected automotive finishes, strict end-to-end quality control, and advanced manufacturing processes. Their products are designed to suit modern, high-traffic commercial environments while also performing exceptionally well in residential spaces, delivering strong aesthetic appeal and consistent product value.
Because Jay Scotts planters are manufactured using high-quality materials comparable to those used in the production of outdoor products such as boats and automobiles, they are designed to provide an extended lifespan when supported by proper care and maintenance.
An industrial grade finish comparable to that used in the automotive industry is used on all planters. This coating is UV-tested and specifically formulated for outdoor use. With appropriate care and maintenance, including regular cleaning and occasional waxing, the finish will retain its appearance and durability for many years.
As with most planters, fibreglass planters should be filled with a lightweight potting mix rather than regular garden soil. The use of heavy materials such as standard soil, sand, or rocks is not recommended, as excessive weight over time may compromise the structural integrity of the fibreglass.
All planters feature subtly integrated feet that provide gentle elevation from the ground, maintaining a clean and seamless look.
Each Jay Scotts planter comes with a 3-year limited warranty, assuring superior craftsmanship and long-term performance. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor and outdoor conditions, including cracking, warping and fading. Manufactured from commercial-grade fibreglass and finished with UV-resistant coatings, our planters are built to withstand the elements without compromising on style.
